HEY, PASSIONATE EDUCATOR & CHANGE-MAKER…
Let’s reimagine education and transform students’ lives – one classroom at a time.
It’s a big job, I know. But just imagine the ripple effect it will have on the world!
Oh, the dreams you have for your students …
You want them to reach their full potential and grow into the best versions of themselves – kind, conscious human beings who strive to make a difference. Along the way, your mission is to teach them how to be tenacious, optimistic, and confident problem solvers.
But do your students have what they need to succeed?
Do they have the skills, tools, and agency to ignite change in their communities and the world? Or are they working with outdated structures, practices, and principles that are keeping them stuck in the Dark Ages?
And what about YOU?
(AKA, the hard-working, highly caffeinated leader who’s juggling ALL the things.)
Do you have the support you need to prepare your young learners for the world outside the classroom?
Maybe you’re a …
→ Teacher – wondering, “How the heck do I keep my students engaged?”
→ School Leader – struggling to serve your students, teachers, and parents.
→ System Leader – feeling the weight of managing a whole system of schools.
WHICHEVER CAMP YOU FALL IN,
THE STRESS IS REAL and the education system is in serious need of change.
(Like, yesterday.)
Hey, I’m Josie and I care deeply about education.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve seen the good and the bad in our system. Let’s start with the good … the amazing impact of engaged educators who spark students’ passion for learning. There’s nothing like it!
Now for the not-so-good part (“bad” is a harsh word) …
I’ve also seen structures and practices created during the Industrial Age still present in the system today. (Yes, really!) There’s an emphasis on “covering” curriculum in ways that lack meaning, coherence, and genuine transformation in the learner.
These approaches have stuck not because they’re brilliant or provide meaningful learning experiences, but because *as I mentioned above* the system desperately needs a revamp.
Here’s how to start fixing what’s broken in our education system:
Uncover new ways for students to learn – and most importantly – new ways to think.
Up to the challenge with Challenge Kits
At I-Think, I’m excited to be working with teachers, principals, and superintendents across Canada to help foster student well-being, deep learning, and problem-solving.
Our Challenge Kits are hands-on kits for teachers to bring real-world problem-solving into the classroom. Because when students are given the chance to solve complex, real-world problems, they become better agents of change. It’s no longer just about memorizing dry facts and figures from a textbook (#boring), but about applying more tenacious thinking skills to tangible situations.
Investing in students is an investment in our collective future

I truly believe that investing in students is an investment in our collective future. Today’s kids will be tomorrow’s leaders, so we need to equip them with all the best skills, tools, and agency possible.
-
I work with all levels in the education system, with schools and boards across Canada. To date, I-Think has connected 100,000+ students, across 12 school boards, to over 30 organizations.

I advise educational leaders on how to support a system of innovation. I look at the gray and disconnected spaces to uncover new ways to learn – and most importantly – new ways to think. This takes listening, curiosity, and the desire to create opportunities for students to engage in learning and problem solving that hold meaning for them.

Education is indeed an entrenched system, where things are interconnected and difficult to shift. That’s where my skills from corporate strategy work come in handy. I’m able to inspire change through facilitated conversation, outside-of-the-box thinking, and deeper collaboration.
